On what devices can I use heatsink?

heatsink is currently available for Android only. A version running on iPhone as well as the Windows desktop client are on our roadmap and are planned near time.

Which Android versions support heatsink?

heatsink is supported from Android version 4.0 onwards (more than 80% of all Android devices worldwide).

Does heatsink work without internet e.g. when traveling by train?

Yes, heatsink is designed for offline use as well. If internet connection is weak you can use heatsink as usual.

Do I have to pay data roaming while residing abroad?

This depends on your phones setting whether to make data connections while roaming or not. Usually this is disabled by default. heatsink will replicate your actions to the cloud to keep them synced across your devices. You can disable this feature in the heatsink settings (Settings -> SYNCHRONISATION -> Auto-Sync: disable OR Settings -> SYNCHRONISATION -> WiFi only syncing: enable).

Are my data used for purposes other than calculating my personal schedule?

No. The data will be stored in our cloud for synchronization purposes across all your devices and are used for calculating your personal schedule only. All computations like scheduling are done on your device only. The use for commercial purposes is excluded.

I am getting a new android device – can I have my current heatsink data with me?

Sure, just install the heatsink app and log in with your credentials. Your data will be automatically replicated to your device, just give it a couple of seconds to get up to speed (depending on the amount of data and your connection bandwidth).

In what languages is heatsink available?

Currently heatsink is available in English and German. Multilingualism is on our roadmap. However, heatsink’s wording is kept in an easy style. Therefore, with a little knowledge of English or German heatsink is easy to use.

Where can I download heatsink?

You can download heatsink directly from the google play store.

What can I do if I lost my password?

You can request a new password by clicking on the link ”Lost your password?” below the login mask (app or heatsink.do/login) and entering your e-mail address. We will then send you an e-mail for the password reset.

How can I change my password?

Please log in to heatsink.do and go to http://heatsink.do/membership-account/. There you can change the password (“My Account” -> “Change password”).

How can I look at completed tasks?

To look at completed tasks, please click on the square menu in the upper right corner of the app. Then check the tick box for “Show completed tasks”. Now you can look at your completed tasks, restore and edit them.
